The 13C nuclear magnetic resonance spectra of some 1,3-dioxans
Abstract
Carbon-13 chemical shifts have been measured for 1,3-dioxan and eight of its derivatives. The chemical shifts of the ring carbon atoms are affected both by the positions and by the conformations of the substituents. Some correlations of chemical shifts with substitution pattern have been drawn.
