Complexes of pyridines and methylpyrazine with come zinc(II), cadmium(II), and mecury(II) salts

Abstract

Complexes of pyridine and 2-methyl-, 3-methyl-,4-methyl-, 2,4-dimethyl-, and2,6-dimethyl-pyridine with mercury(II) chloride and bromide and of methylpyrazine with zinc(II) chloride, iodide, and sulphate; cadmium(II) chloride, bromide, iodide, thiocyanate, and acetate; and mercury(II) chloride and bromide have been prepared and characterised by molecular conductance and i.r. spectral measurements (down to 200 cm.^–1). Possible structures for these complexes in the solid state are discussed.
