Tristrifluoromethylbis(trimethylsiloxy)phosphorane, (CF3)3P[OSi(CH3)3]2, and bistrifluoromethyltrimethylsiloxyphosphine oxide, (CF3)2P(O)OSi(CH3)3

Abstract

Direct combination of (CF3)3PO with hexamethyldisiloxane yields the new phosphorane (CF3)3P(OSiMe3)2 which thermally decomposes to (CF3)2P(O)OSiMe3; the latter new compound can also be obtained by reaction of (CF3)2P(O)Cl with hexamethyldisiloxane.
