Fluorine-19 nuclear magnetic resonance study of transmission of conjugation by the oxiran ring

Abstract

The 19F n.m.r. shielding parameters have been determined for a series of trans-p-fluoro-m′- and p′-substituted stilbene epoxides and the results show that the oxiran ring transmits conjugation to the same extent as does the cyclopropane ring.
