α-Amino-sulphonic acid derivatives. Part I. Synthesis of Δ2-1,2,4-thiadiazoline 1,1-dioxides

Abstract

The S-dioxide of 3-phenyl-Δ2-1,2,4-thiadiazoline and some 4-acyl derivatives thereof have been prepared by alkali-induced ring closure of N1-(α-halogenomethylsulphonyl)amidines and also by treatment of an α-halogeno-methanesulphonamide with a sulphonimidoyl chloride. These compounds constitute a new class of heterocyclic compound.
