Organosilicon compounds. Part III. The preparation and properties of the 1,3-dimethyl-1,3-diphenyldisiloxanediols

Abstract

The preparation and purification of the diastereoisomeric 1,3-dimethyl-1,3-diphenyldisiloxanediols and the assignment of configuration is described. The association of these compounds dissolved in carbon tetrachloride and chloroform has been investigated by infrared and n.m.r. spectroscopy and molecular weight determinations.
