Trapped electrons produced by deposition of alkali-metal atoms on ice at 77°K. Part III. Invariance of electron spin resonance spectra with metal cation
Abstract
Trapped electrons are formed when alkali-metal atoms are deposited on ice at 77°K in a rotating cryostat. Identical e.s.r. spectra are observed from deposits containing trapped electrons which have been prepared from lithium, potassium, sodium, rubidium, or caesium. This invariance of the spectra shows that the cation is not involved in the formation of the trap in which the electron is located.
