Vibronic structure in the circular dichroism of α-Ni(H2O)6SO4

Abstract

The circular dichroism of single crystals of α-Ni(H2O)6SO4 at cryogenic temperatures reveals extensive vibronic structure in the “red band” of the Ni(H2O)62+ chromophore which leads to new conclusions as to the assignment of and origin of intensity in this band system.
