Correlation function treatment of the dielectric relaxation of molecules capable of having inversion modes or internal rotation modes

Abstract

A correlation function treatment is given for different structures which are capable of having inversion modes or internal rotation modes in addition to overall molecular rotation. In all cases the dielectric relaxation may arise from a combination of internal reorientation and molecular rotation. Experimental data available for several amines are discussed in terms of the theory.
