Nuclear magnetic resonance evidence for micelle formation in solutions of sodium 4,4-dimethyl-4-silapentane-1-sulphonate containing paramagnetic ions
Abstract
Micelle formation in solutions of sodium 4,4-dimethyl-4-silapentane-1-sulphonate is indicated by studies of chemical shifts and line-widths in the presence of paramagnetic species, and also by the dye titration technique. The implications of this are discussed.
