The constituents of native Umbelliferae. Part I. Coumarins from dill (Anetheum graveolens L.)

Abstract

Scopoletin and a new coumarin, 6,7-dihydro-8,8-dimethyl-2H,8H-benzo[1,2-b:5,4-b′]dipyran-2,6-dione, have been isolated from the upper parts of dill. The n.m.r. and mass spectra of these compounds and their transformation products are described.
