The removal of toluene-p-sulphonyl groups from sulphonamides. Part III. Some N-toluene-p-sulphonyl glycine esters

Abstract

The elimination of toluene-p-sulphinyl anions from several N-toluene-p-sulphonyl glycine esters has been studied. In two examples, the intervention of neighbouring groups has been detected, the products elucidated and, in one case, a mechanism is suggested.
