The determination of calcium in biological samples by X-ray fluorescence

Abstract

An X-ray fluorescence method is described for the rapid determination of calcium in ashed biological samples. Samples are digested in nitric acid, and calcium is determined in the extract. The results are comparable with those obtained by a conventional titrimetric method.
