Relative basicities of organometallic ethers, amines and sulphides

Abstract

The observed shifts in the C—D stretching frequency in mixtures of base and deuterochloroform have been used to compare the donor properties of a variety of organometallic bases. These include ethers, sulphides and amines in which one or more (CH3)3 M-groups (M = Si, Ge, Sn or Pb), are attached to the donating atom.
