Optical resolution of (±)-OO-dibenzylcoreximine has been effected with (+)- and (–)-di-p-toluoyltartaric acid. Hydrolysis of (–)-OO-dibenzylcoreximine (+)-di-p-toluoyltartrate gave (–)-OO-dibenzylcoreximine, whose debenzylation afforded (–)-coreximine.
