Crystal and molecular structure of tetra-B-isothiocyanatotetra-N-t-butylborazocine

Abstract

A three-dimensional crystal structure analysis of the title compound (Me3CNBNCS)4 shows that the molecule contains an eight-membered ring of alternate boron and nitrogen atoms. The ring is in the tub conformation and there are localised π-bonds between alternate pairs of atoms.
