Salt-like behaviour of sulphur dichloride in acetone solution. Part II
Abstract
Chlorosulphenyl nitrate, ClSNO3, and chlorosulphenyl iodide, ClSI, are formed in acetone solution from sulphur dichloride by metathesis. Sulphur dinitrate, S(NO3)2, and sulphur di-iodide, SI2, exist, but are unstable. Conductimetric evidence is cited in support of the ionic course of the reactions.
