A pyromellitic diimide-based negolyte for neutral aqueous organic redox flow batteries with high power density
Abstract
The redox potential of an aromatic diimide derivative is regulated by tailoring the conjugated structure, yielding the most negative pyromellitic diimide negolyte with high solubility and fast reaction kinetics. It is used to construct a high-voltage pH-neutral aqueous organic redox flow battery that achieves a record power density of 307 mW cm−2.
