Non-flammable fluorine-phosphorus-based polymer electrolytes for high-performance all-solid-state lithium metal batteries
Abstract
All-solid-state polymer electrolytes (ASSPEs) are pivotal for next-generation lithium metal batteries (LMBs), yet achieving synergy between high ionic conductivity and intrinsic non-flammability remains a significant challenge. Herein, a novel non-flammable fluorine/phosphorus-containing ASSPE is fabricated via the in situ polymerization of TFEA, DABP, and PEGMA. This molecular design constructs a robust crosslinked network where the synergistic effect of fluorine and phosphorus segments ensures both structural integrity and active fire suppression. The resulting TDP-based electrolyte exhibits superior ionic conductivity (10−4 S cm−1) and a wide electrochemical window (5.5 V), ensuring excellent compatibility with the lithium metal anode. This work highlights the transition from flammable to intrinsically safe ASSPEs, providing an effective strategy for high-performance and secure all-solid-state energy storage systems.
