Abstract

Retraction of ‘A ligand strategic approach with Cu-MOF for enhanced solar light photocatalysis’ by Pichiah Saravanan et al., New J. Chem., 2018, 42, 11124–11130, https://doi.org/10.1039/C8NJ01932K.

The RSC hereby wholly retracts this New Journal of Chemistry article, due to the discovery of significant scientific errors in the originally published version.

After publication, concerns were raised regarding the validity of the analysis of experimental results reported in this paper. An assessment by an independent expert in the field found that analytical techniques used in this work did not support the proposed structure of the material identified as Cu-MOF. Instead, the evidence presented suggests the presence of metallic copper.

Given the significance of these concerns, the findings presented in this paper are no longer reliable.

The authors were informed of this decision and all authors disagreed with the retraction.
