The development of a conductive poly(vinyl alcohol) polymer using a Co(ii)Li(i)-enriched metallohydrogel filler for soft electrochemical applications
Abstract
A Li+-enriched Co2+-containing conductive STL-Co metallogel (2% w/v) has been synthesized with the objective of engineering a polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) polymer–metallogel composite for the fabrication of soft electrochemical devices. The inclusion of a conductive metallogel (1.73 × 10−2 S cm−1) within the non-conductive PVA polymer led to a mechanically stable conductive STL-Co–PVA composite gel matrix (8.5 × 10−3 S cm−1).
