Precisely tailoring the d-band center of Pt via metal–semiconductor interaction for C1 small molecule electrooxidation
Abstract
Modulating the Pt d-band center via metal–semiconductor interaction on non-stoichiometric Bi2Te3 unlocks efficient C1 electrooxidation. The optimized catalyst shows mass activities of 11.0 A mgPt−1/12.7 A mgPt−1 for the FAOR/MOR, which are 22 and 9.8 times those of commercial Pt/C, respectively, and a CO-free complete oxidation direct pathway.
