Ir doping induced phase transformation and morphological reconstruction of MnO2 for efficient alkaline water oxidation

Abstract

Ir doping induces a gradual phase transformation of MnO2 from β to α phase. Benefiting from the synergistic effect of the 2 × 2 tunnels of α-MnO2 and the highly active Ir sites, the resulting catalyst exhibits significantly enhanced alkaline oxygen evolution reaction activity.
