In situ construction of MoO2/In2O3 heterostructures to accelerate the reaction kinetics for electrocatalytic nitrogen reduction
Abstract
Electrochemical nitrogen reduction to NH3 offers a sustainable alternative to the energy-intensive Haber–Bosch process, but suffers from sluggish kinetics. Herein, we report MoO2/In2O3 heterostructured nanorods achieving a high NH3 yield (23.42 µg h−1 cm−2) and faradaic efficiency (35.59%), with 3.8-fold enhanced reaction kinetics versus bare In2O3.
