Intramolecular oxidative C(sp3)–N coupling towards pyrrolidine and piperidine with a catalytic amount of iodoform

Abstract

We report herein an oxidative intramolecular C(sp3)–N bond coupling reaction with a catalytic amount of iodoform under visible-light irradiation conditions, providing a novel and general procedure to access nitrogen-atom-containing heterocycles. Both pyrrolidine and piperidine derivatives were accessible.
