Synergistic enhancement of the photoelectrochemical water splitting performance of BiFeO3 photocathodes via potassium doping and surface platinum modification
Abstract
BiFeO3 (BFO) is a promising material for photoelectrochemical water splitting, yet its performance is limited by photogenerated charge recombination. In this work, we fabricate a K-BFO/Pt photocathode via synergistic K+ doping and Pt cocatalyst modification, achieving a nearly two-fold photocurrent gain over BFO.
