Control of higher-order supramolecular aggregation driven by crowding effects in a PDMS/oligomer system

Abstract

Polydimethylsiloxane and its oligomer were employed as a crowding agent and solvent, respectively, to investigate macromolecular crowding effects without altering solvation. This system selectively induced higher-order aggregation of one-dimensional supramolecular polymers without perturbing monomer–monomer interactions.
