Guiding the activity of the electrochemical oxygen evolution reaction on copper oxide
Abstract
The activity of copper oxide was investigated to explore its potential as an alternative oxygen evolution reaction (OER) catalyst. The performance gap for CuO primarily stems from limited surface area and impedance, rather than inherent catalytic inefficiency. Thus, optimizing the surface area and *O adsorption is essential for enhancing Cu-oxide-based OER catalysts.
