Synthesis of fluorinated 1,2-naphthoquinones from o-trifluoromethylbenzylamines via a defluorinative approach
Abstract
A highly efficient and mild defluorinative methodology has been developed to synthesize various fluorinated 1,2-naphthoquinones from readily accessible o-trifluoromethylbenzylamine derivatives and enolizable esters. The resultant fluorinated 1,2-naphthoquinones are subsequently transformed into tetra-substituted indanes and phenazine derivatives.
