Incorporation of ferrocene moieties into the backbone of BCN hybrid polymers via 1,3-linkage

Abstract

Metallopolymers and precisely defined oligomers composed of arylene groups 1,3-linked via BN moieties to 1′,2′,3′,4′,5′-pentamethylferrocene units are presented, which show metal–ligand charge transfer (MLCT) as well as π–π* transitions within the conjugated organic linker with a certain contribution of the 1,3-linked Cp ring.
