Oxidative coupling of 3-ethoxy PdII N-confused porphyrins with β-diketones using PIFA as the oxidant

Abstract

A novel oxidative coupling enables site-specific C21 functionalization of 3-ethoxy PdII N-confused porphyrins with β-diketones using PIFA. X-ray analysis confirms C–Pd bond formation and sp3-C21. The 3-ethoxy group is crucial, revealing distinct reactivity from Ni analogs and new NCP insights.
