Interfacial regulation of CO2 electroreduction via CuAu nanoclusters decorated on hierarchically restructured bismuth nanoarchitectures
Abstract
Interfacial electronic modulation enables the selective electroreduction of CO2 to formate. Ultrasmall CuAu nanoclusters decorated on hierarchically restructured Bi nanoarchitectures induce charge redistribution and optimize stabilization of reaction intermediates. A CuAuNCs/HR-Bi catalyst achieves 94% faradaic efficiency at −0.8 V vs. RHE with enhanced kinetics and 24 h durability.
