RCSA-based relative stereochemical analysis of polar molecules in PBLG liquid crystalline medium

Abstract

¹³ C RCSA-based stereochemical analysis in commercially available PBLG medium is enabled for polar molecules by introducing THF-d₈ and THF-d₈/DMSO-d₆ solvent systems. This overcomes solubility limitations in CDCl₃, which had been the only PBLG-compatible solvent. Successful validation on parthenolide, dexamethasone, and sucrose demonstrated reliable and enhanced stereochemical differentiation, expanding the application scope of RCSA analysis.
