Backbone-integrated triplet radicals in linear 2p–3d–4f heterometallic chains and magnetic hysteresis

Abstract

Radical-bridged linear 2p–3d–4f heterometallic chains with fully backbone-integrated spin centers were synthesized in a single step using an air-stable triplet biradical, revealing that magnetic hysteresis (below 0.9 K) emerge selectively in the Tb–Co derivative.
