Construction of thiophene-based double helices with through-space conjugation for luminescence enhancement
Abstract
This study presents an innovative strategy that achieves long-wavelength, high-yield emission in small molecules by constructing π-stacked double-helical frameworks. Four compounds prepared via selective Negishi coupling exhibit efficient intramolecular through-space conjugation, leading to tunable and enhanced emission. Photophysical and theoretical analyses confirm that symmetry and dipole moment within the helix precisely control excited-state relaxation.
