Ta-doped charge-transferring Ir shells on Ru cores: dual stabilisation and synergistic OER catalysis for PEMWE
Abstract
Balancing the activity–stability trade-off of IrRu-based OER catalysts is critical for PEMWE. We design Ta-doped charge-transfer Ir shells on Ru nanorod cores (Ta–IrRuOx@IrOx), in which the Ir shell physically protects the Ru core, and the Ta dopants stabilise the Ir shell via electron donation, providing dual stabilisation.
