Photocatalyst encapsulation and amidation-mediated cell anchoring for advancing photosynthetic biohybrids

Abstract

A general covalent amidation strategy for assembling CdS@SiO2-microorganism biohybrids reduces cellular damage and creates robust bio-abiotic interfaces for efficient electron and mass transfer, thereby improving H2 or CH4 production.
