Dual-acceptor-clamped diketopyrrolopyrrole for high performance monopolar n-type transistors

Abstract

A diketopyrrolopyrrole (DPP) semiconductor incorporating fluorinated naphthobisthiadiazole (FNTz) end units in an A2–D–A1–D–A2 architecture, DNTDPP, is synthesized to stabilize electron transport. The molecule exhibits a low LUMO level (−3.85 eV) and strong solid-state aggregation. Top-gate bottom-contact OTFTs deliver unipolar n-type behavior with electron mobility up to 1.18 cm2 V−1 s−1.
