Abstract

Efficient PEMWE requires OER catalysts with high activity and stability. By tuning the RuO₂ lattice constants via Gd doping, Ru–O covalency is optimized. Gd_0.08Ru_0.92O₂ shows low overpotential, excellent durability, suppressed LOM pathways, and mitigated Ru dissolution, enabling robust high-performance water electrolysis.
