Synthesis of thinly N-doped carbon-coated MoS2 for high-rate Na-ion storage
Abstract
We devised a simple method to synthesize thinly N-doped carbon-coated MoS2 nanoparticles (MoS2@NC, sized at 10–20 nm). The unique structure of the MoS2@NC, with an enlarged MoS2 lattice interlayer spacing and curved S–Mo–S planes, facilitates smooth Na+ insertion/extraction and enhances the interaction-type capacity. The interconnected carbon shells act as electron-conducting pathways and shield against structural instability during high-extent conversion reactions.
