A type of B ← N-embedded molecule used as a cathode interlayer enables enhanced open-circuit voltage
Abstract
A B ← N-embedded molecule with a backbone dipole moment is developed to be applied as a cathode interlayer in organic solar cells. Interfacial dipoles are induced by the polar molecule, and the Fermi level of the active layer can be lowered, effectively removing the contact barrier and enhancing the built-in potential. Thus, the open-circuit voltage can be significantly enhanced.
