Perovskite–mixed oxide interactions to modulate the overall water splitting performance of LaNiO3–CuxO/NiO heterostructures
Abstract
A synergistic interface between LaNiO3 perovskite and Cu–Ni–O mixed oxide facilitates remarkable electrocatalytic activity by coupling Ni3+-mediated redox dynamics with oxygen-vacancy modulation. This deliberate integration of perovskite–mixed oxide heterostructures establishes a rational strategy to accelerate interfacial charge transfer, enabling overall water splitting at a low cell voltage of 1.5 V under alkaline conditions.
