Edge-centred chirality-induced enantiopure square-like sulfonylcalix[4]arene-{Coii16} cages for selective (+)-/(−)-α-pinene adsorption
Abstract
A chiral recognition event plays a crucial role in fields such as pharmaceutical design, asymmetric catalysis, and racemic mixture separation. A first example is presented of new targeted square-like sulfonylcalix[4]arene-supported {CoII16}-coordination cage formation, by exploiting edge-centred chirality induction, capable of selective D-/L-α-pinene adsorption.
