Retraction of ‘Unity photoluminescence quantum yield and superior stability achieved in lanthanide-doped lead-free Cs2NaInCl6 double perovskites for highly efficient light emitting diodes’ by Hamza Shaili et al., Mater. Horiz., 2025, https://doi.org/10.1039/d5mh00401b.
When comparing data sets in this publication, the corresponding author discovered that XRD and Raman spectra were reused in Fig. 1. Further investigation by the corresponding author revealed that two fluorescence spectra in Fig. 2d of this publication are also duplicates of the same spectrum. Similar issues were found in Fig. S6 (XRD), S9 (PL spectra), and S10 (XRD), which contain duplicative data.
Given the extent and significance of these misrepresentations, the corresponding author no longer has confidence in the reliability of the findings and has requested the retraction of the article. The second author, Dr Tae Kyong John Kim, who contributed the XPS measurements, is not associated with the errors and bears no responsibility for the data concerns. The first author was informed and accepts full responsibility for the retraction.
