Ag-induced homochiral versus heterochiral double helicates based on cyclooctatetrathiophene-bipyridine

Abstract

Two racemic saddle-shaped ligands 1 and 2 with cyclooctatetrathiophene (COTh) as the linker and bipyridine as the binding site could form homochiral versus heterochiral double helicates in the presence of Ag+via homochiral self-sorting and heterochiral self-sorting processes, respectively.
