An experimental and theoretical study of the photoionization properties of polysulfanes (H2Sn, n = 2–4)†
Abstract
We prepared polysulfanes (H2Sn, n = 2 to 4) via photon irradiation of hydrogen sulfide (H2S) ices and measured their photoionization efficiency spectra. The ionization energies of H2S2, H2S3 and H2S4 were determined to be 9.08 ± 0.02 eV, 8.90 ± 0.05 eV and 8.85 ± 0.05 eV, respectively.
