Strong supramolecular synthons assembled by hydrogen bonds and chalcogen bonds

Abstract

Strong supramolecular synthons assembled by two O–H⋯N hydrogen bonds and two N–Se⋯O chalcogen bonds have been identified via an X-ray crystallographic study. At the same time, combined with quantum chemical calculations, the effects of substituents, steric hindrance, and heteroatom substitution on the strong supramolecular synthons have also been investigated.
