A novel organic/inorganic NH2-UiO-66/ZnO heterojunction for enhanced photocatalytic H2O2 production in pure water

Abstract

A highly active heterojunction photocatalyst was prepared though dispersing NU-66 octahedrons on the surface of ZnO nanofibers. Among the synthesized samples, the optimal composite (NU-66/ZnO-5) demonstrated the highest H2O2 generation rate in pure water and ambient air. The mechanism of enhanced photocatalytic activity was elucidated by empirical characterization and theoretical simulation.
