Enhanced electrocatalytic nitrate reduction to ammonia on silver nanocubes

Abstract

Silver nanocubes (AgNCs) with {111} facet-dominant and surfactant removal exhibited enhanced electrocatalytic performance for nitrate reduction, achieving a maximum NH3 yield rate of 39.63 μg h−1 cm−2 at 0.46 V vs. RHE. Long-term stability tests showed consistent activity, making AgNCs a promising catalyst for sustainable ammonia production.
