Visible-light-initiated selective synthesis of thiolated-, sulfoxinated-, and sulfonated benzoxazines from N-(2-vinylaryl)amides and thiols†
Abstract
This article demonstrates the utilization of blue LEDs to selectively synthesize thiolated-, sulfoxinated-, and sulfonated benzoxazines in good yields from a series of N-(2-vinylaryl)amides and thiols. This methodology is mild and eco-friendly, uses O2 as the oxidant, produces no harmful by-products and works without the need for additives, or catalysts.
